In the tough job market of 1983 in Pittsburgh, and as a new Pitt grad having a difficult time, I thought the Cathedral of Learning might give me a boost. I heard that the transmitter for Pitt's radio station WPTS was on the Cathedral roof, and so one day I called the station to request that they play "It Can Happen" by the rock group Yes. And in a few minutes, hearing that song being broadcast to the Pittsburgh area from the Cathedral gave me hope. It felt like a statement of confidence from where I received my degree. A very happy and mood elevating moment!
