As a young school administrator working toward earning my Ph.D. in school administration, I often spent time in the Cathedral prior to classes reviewing assignments. It was very relaxing to reflect after driving in to Oakland from Beaver County. Progressing through my long career as a public school teacher, principal, and superintendent, especially during my 30 years as a school district superintendent, my Pitt education and memories of the campus and Cathedral enabled me to enjoy an outstanding and successful professional career.
