Robert Mease

Alumni A&S '71
I am writing this on behalf of my dad, Robert Mease. He graduated from Pitt in 1971 with a degree in Biology and a minor in Chemistry. He later joined the Police, and he often worked the third shift in the area of the Cathedral and the William Pitt Union. As a Pitt employee, he had access to tuition benefits. When he would finish his shift, he would go directly to morning classes in the Cathedral. Through these benefits, he was able to work toward a second degree. He wasn't able to finish his second degree because he decided to enlist in the U.S. military. I share his story because I have always been proud of his military service and his ability to enroll in additional coursework above and beyond his initial degree.
