I have fond memories of doing my calculus homework in the common area with my math tutor, an engineering student, because I was struggling as a freshman in calculus. I was super shy and had a crush on my tutor, but I never told him. I don’t even remember his name now, but I did manage to get an A in my second semester course! This set me up to get admitted to the dental school and I was a 1989 graduate from the Pitt School of Dental Medicine!
