My husband and I met in a classroom in the Cathedral of Learning in the spring semester of 2005. We were in a class called "Childhood Books" with instructor Valerie Krips. We will be married for 18 years this summer and we have three teenagers, all interested in pursuing higher education at Pitt. When I was in seventh grade, I toured the Cathedral for a class field trip and fell in love with its charm. Who knew that, years later, it would be an everlasting symbol of all the things I love in my life. Entering the Cathedral feels like coming home, and the life that I have today simply wouldn't exist without that building.
