My law school class was the last one to spend any time in the Cathedral.  The new Pitt Law building was supposed to open in the fall of 1975 but wasn’t ready until January. The University crammed 300 law students — twice the size of previous classes — into three floors of the Cathedral. I spent a semester on the 12th floor in a classroom that combined two rooms with two different sets of light fixtures and columns down the middle. The joke was the students who had obstructed seats should have gotten a discount!
