When I was a child in the early 1950s, my father was a student at Pitt. As I remember it, faculty sometimes dined at the top of the Cathedral of Learning. My mother worked as an employee. I was permitted to “help” her since my father was in classes at Pitt in the evenings. As I recall, this was for faculty rather than students (however, I may be wrong about that). My memories include seeing football games from the perspective of the top of the Cathedral of Learning. I believe my memories are correct, because I still carry the memories of being there.
