When I first arrived at PITT, the Cathedral of Learning was one of the first buildings I saw as I came onto campus. To me, it represented a strong university in Western Pennsylvania—and one that helps students be successful. Fast forward to now, this building represents, to me, coming home to a place that has shaped me into the person I am today. From spending many years studying in the Commons Room to taking classes in its Nationality Rooms, Cathy stands as a beacon of hope that all students who come through Pitt are strong and capable individuals that will make lasting contributions to society. I always enjoy looking out the window of my car and seeing Cathy from Interstate 376 as I come onto campus for Homecoming or visits with friends. The Cathedral is Pitt and represents why I #HailToPITT everyday!
