During the peak of COVID-19 in 2020, my freshman year was mostly limited to virtual classes and locked dorms. The Cathedral of Learning was one of the only spaces where my friends and I could actually get together to socialize. We met in Room G08 every single day to eat our meals, do homework and take our online classes. On the weekends, we even used the room’s projector to stream Pitt football games since we weren't allowed to attend them in person. The Cathedral became the center of my freshman experience and remains my best memory of my time at Pitt.
