With my eyes set on attending pharmacy school, I wasn't too excited for my required writing class. But it was in that class that I first met my now husband, Nate. I was complaining about the difficulty of Organic Chemistry II and, being the science-lover that he is, Nate saw this as his time to strike. He offered to "tutor" me, which led to multiple study sessions together across campus, but most often in the Commons Room. With his assistance, I proudly earned a 99 percent on my next organic chemistry exam, and we've been together ever since.

We ultimately got married at Heinz Memorial Chapel a few years later, and of course, had to stop in the Cathedral to take some wedding photos where it all began. We owe so much to Pitt and to the Cathedral for igniting our love story. We are so grateful!
